After two laps behind the safety car, Max Verstappen comfortably pulled away for his 11th win of a dominant campaign to stretch his lead over Sergio Perez.

Vettel made his debut in 2007. His first title win came in 2010 which also made him the youngest title winner. He won four titles for Red Bull in between 2010 to 2013. The German racer announced his retirement on Thursday through an Instagram video.

Vettel made the announcement ahead of this weekend`s Hungarian Grand Prix, the 13th round of the season and last race before the August break.

Vettel was robbed on Monday (May 23) morning. The racer was robbed outside his hotel in Barcelona. He took an electric scooter and decided to find his lost belongings with the Find My app.

The four-time world champion Vettel will make his season debut at the Australian Grand Prix on April 10.

Four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel will race for Aston Martin, the new name for the Canadian-owned Racing Point team, on a multi-year deal. The 33-year-old German replaces Mexican Sergio Perez, whose departure at the end of the 2020 season was announced on Wednesday. Vettel has had a tough time at Ferrari since the arrival of Monegasque Charles Leclerc, with the youngster beating him on wins, points and poles last season.

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton returned Mercedes to the top of the Formula One timesheets in Saturday`s final practice for the Belgian GP. Sebastian Vettel ended the session in last place on a weekend that continued to get worse for Ferrari with teammate Leclerc finishing at 17th. Hamilton, winner of four of this season`s six races, leads Verstappen by 37 points in the overall standings with 11 of this season`s 17 races still to run.

Hamilton's best time in FP2 was 1:16.883 with track temperatures around 10 degrees higher than the conditions during FP1 The German driver's time was 0.098s slower than Bottas' session-leading time from earlier in the day Red Bull's Max Verstappen was third, as he was earlier in the day, 0.821s adrift of Hamilton

Hamilton started off as the faster of the two Mercedes drivers but Bottas, lapping on the C4 soft tyres which Pirelli have brought in for this weekend, beat him on his second flying lap.

Hamilton, who won the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday, again took a knee while wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt, but some drivers were either too late or remained standing.

Perez is fifth overall and 10 points ahead of Stroll in the Formula One standings after two races.

Hamilton's Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas clinched the second spot while Max Verstappen of Red Bull completed the podium.

Plans are to hold qualifying on Saturday afternoon local time if conditions improve but it can be held on Sunday morning too.  

Sainz's move to Ferrari, replacing four times world champion Sebastian Vettel, was announced on May 14.

Ferrari said on Tuesday that Vettel, who won all his titles with Red Bull between 2010-13, would be leaving after six years with them.

Germany`s Sebastian Vettel Sebastian Vettel’s future in Formula 1 beyond 2020 has been thrown into doubt after it was announced on Tuesday that he will leave Ferrari at the end of the season.

Vettel finished 15th and 12th respectively after being caught up in incidents on the virtual version of the Sepang circuit that hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix between 1999 and 2017.

With the win, Vettel ended his 13-month winless streak in Formula One and registered a record fifth victory in the city-state.

Vettel, whose 52nd and last win came at the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix, was second and third fastest on the timesheets in Friday’s two sessions at the Marina Bay track.
