Non-banking finance companies focusing on vehicle finance, and small finance bank applicants benefited from the high demand for priority sector lending assets.

Global rating agency Moody's on Thursday said a developed securitisation market will help the country achieve its goal of financial inclusion by providing cheap credit to under-served segments of the society.  

To deepen the securitisation market, Sebi has made it easier for banks and public financial institutions to act as trustees, while a new code of conduct has been put in place to safeguard investors' interest.
