He was in fact at the forefront of the planning being hatched for the riots. Gulfisha confessed that Professor Apoorvananda also praised her after the riots for doing a good job
According to the FIR filed by Delhi Police, the two leaders - Rehman and Ahmed - "provoked crowd" to join the protest.
The probe agency claimed that one of them is a history-sheeter and both were captured in the video with one holding a stone in his hand while the other was holding a stick.
Security has been beefed up in Seelampur and other areas in North East Delhi. Section 144 has also been imposed in the wake of the massive protests that injured at least 21 people.
Delhi has witnessed massive violence over CAA in the past three days. On Sunday, violent clashes erupted between the police and protesters in Jamia Millia Islamia University over the Act. The protests continued till Monday and a day later, on Tuesday, the anti-CAA outrage hit Seelampur and Jafradbad areas of north east Delhi.
The violence over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Seelampur and Jafrabad area of northeast Delhi left 21 people, including 12 policemen and and three from the Rapid Action Force (RAF), injured.
