LG Electronics said it will install large light-emitting diode (LED) digital displays at Roig Arena, a new indoor multipurpose facility in Spain, as part of its effort to expand its global sports entertainment business.  

The unit approved is a joint venture of HCL and Foxconn. This plant will manufacture display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, automobiles, PCs, and myriad of other devices that have display.

India accounts for only 0.1 per cent of global wafer capacity, around 1 per cent of annual equipment spending, and a 6.5 per cent semiconductor end-demand share, the report states.

The three-day event features more than 1,500 delegates and 250 exhibitors, positioning Gujarat as a key player in India's semiconductor sector.
