Roberto sustained a rupture in the femoral rectus of his right thigh during his club's 0-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in La Liga. Barcelona are standing at the seventh spot in the standings with four wins from nine matches they have played so far. The Spanish side will next lock horns with Cadiz on December 6 at Estadio Ramón de Carranza.

FC Barcelona's two first choice players - Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto were both injured in Saturday's game against Atletico Madrid. While Center-back Pique suffered a serious knee injury, Right-back Sergi Roberto injured his right thigh. Barca had lost the game 1-0 after a howler by goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen at the stroke of half-time.

The 1-0 loss was Barca`s first opening-day defeat in 11 years and their early-season jitters were further compounded when striker Luis Suarez and electric winger Ousmane Dembele were ruled out for at least a month with muscle problems.
