The sewage treatment capacity in towns along the Ganga is being enhanced substantially as part of efforts to clean the river, a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was told.

Tamil Nadu government today announced a slew of measures to augment civic infrastructure, including drinking water resource protection, rainwater harvesting, solid waste management plans, sewage treatment plant besides plan to encourage non-motorised transport.
