Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Shia holy shrine gun attack in southern Iran that killed at least 15 people and injured over 40 on Wednesday
At least 43 others wounded after a blast rocked a mosque in Afghanistan`s northern province of Kunduz.
The incident came shortly after Friday prayers when a group of worshippers were ritualizing Zikr.
The nature of the blast that severely damaged the building was not immediately known.
An explosion at a Shi`ite mosque in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday killed at least 11 people.
The Islamic State group said it carried out a gun and bomb attack on a Shiite mosque in Kabul on Friday that killed at least 39 people, including children.
Afghan authorities said earlier that 30 worshippers including young children were killed and 64 wounded when suicide bombers throwing grenades stormed the Jawadya mosque in the western city near the Iranian border late yesterday.
IS has been expanding its footprint in eastern Afghanistan and has recently claimed responsibility for several devastating attacks in Kabul.
Islamic State militants claimed responsibility for that attack, as well as an attack last July that killed more than 80 people at a mostly Shi`ite demonstration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the terror attack in Kabul.
The attack struck the Imam Reza Mosque in the neighbourhood of Mehasin during prayers.
The IS statement circulated by supporters online today only mentions a suicide attack.
