Shirdi, where a world famous temple dedicated to Sai Baba is located, is already part of the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway and also has a Vande Bharat service from Mumbai.

Shirdi is located approximately 296 km from Mumbai and is called the land of Sai.
The Shirdi Airport is likely to be inaugurated in October this year for which Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will soon invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Airport Development Authority managing director Vishvas Patil said.
