Since it started on June 28, more that 197,000 pilgrims have already performed the annual pilgrimage.   

Lakhan Manoj of Gundlagadda told villagers that Lord Shiva appeared in his dream and tasked him with building a Shiva temple at a certain location.

Shiva, the most powerful of the Hindu trinity is often worshipped in his Linga form that symbolises the outward aspect of the formless.

One can find fishes and turtles in the two water tanks which have been built within the temple complex compound.
