The deceased woman has been identified as Veena Prakash Jain. The 22-year-old daughter of the deceased woman has been taken into custody, the Mumbai Police said.
During his speech, the minister said that it is his responsibility to stop the recurrence of cases like Shraddha Walkar murder in the state.
Shraddha Walkar Murder: In its chargesheet, Delhi Police has claimed that Aaftab – the key accused in the case – murdered his live-in partner in a fit of rage. He attacked Shradhha since she had gone to see a friend in Gurugram against his wishes.
Aaftab Amin Poonawala allegedly sawed his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar's body into 35 pieces and kept them in a 300-liter fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in Delhi's Mehrauli before dumping them across the capital over several days.
The police sources, on Friday, informed that Aaftab Amin Poonawala, the accused in the Shraddha Walkar's murder, gave similar answers in his polygraph, narco-analysis tests and during the police interrogation.
The sources suggest that there is no difference in the confessions of Poonawala during his 14 days of police custody and answers for the questions asked during his polygraph and narco analysis test.
Aaftab Poonawala`s most recent girlfriend also said that she had come to his Delhi flat twice in the month of October.

The FSL sources have claimed that Aftab does not regret killing Shraddha, his live-in partner, and chopping her body into several pieces and disposing of them in parts of Delhi-NCR as part of his plan to hide his crime. He will now be taken for the narco-analysis test on December 5.
The police are yet to find Walkar's skull and some body parts as well as the weapon used to dismember her body. Earlier, the Delhi Police, along with teams from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, pumped out water from a pond at Maidan Garhi in the Chhatarpur area after Poonawala claimed that he had thrown Walkar's severed head and some other remains there.
Aftab Amin Poonawalla: The polygraph test on Aftab Amin Poonawalla, who has been accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar and chopping the body into 35 pieces in Delhi`s Mehrauli area, which was stopped midway on Thursday after he complained of fever, will resume on Friday at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini.
The delay in completion of the polygraph test also means that the narco test on Poonawala, cannot be conducted on Thursday

Shraddha Walkar murder case: According to the letter, accessed by Zee Media, Shraddha Walkar had told Delhi Police in her complaint in 2020 that she was being threatened by her boyfriend and that she feared for her life.
A police team on Friday reached Aftab's workplace in Gurugram and conducted a thorough search for the weapon Aftab used for chopping off Shraddha's body
Though no concrete evidence was found during the search, the police team reportedly found a small cutting tool
A Narco-analysis test of the accused is also to be conducted in due course of the investigation, officials said
