The BJP on Friday demanded a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities by AAP mentioned in the Shunglu Committee report that has accused the Delhi government of abuse of power and nepotism in making appointments.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may face "criminal charges" over irregularities found by the Shunglu Committee in the decisions taken by the AAP government, former Lt Governor Najeeb Jung Wednesday said, alleging "nepotism and gross favouritism".

While rejecting the AAP's request to dissolve the three-member committee, the L-G said the "truth hidden behind these files" must come out.

The Delhi Cabinet termed the three-member Shunglu Committee- which was looking into the files- unconstitutional.
