The contest in the Northern Angami seat is straight between Liezietsu and and his only rival Independent candidate Kekhrie Yhome.

Ending the political crisis in Nagaland, newly appointed Chief Minister TR Zeliang on Friday won the crucial trust vote in the state assembly.

TR Zeliang has been sworn-in as the new Chief Minister of Nagaland on Wednesday. 

The development took place after Nagaland CM Liezietsu didn't turn up for floor test, which was scheduled to take place today.
