Amid the ongoing leadership tussle in the state, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar met party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at her residence in Delhi on Wednesday. 

The Karnataka power tussle has been brewing since the 2023 state assembly poll. While earlier it was reported that DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah would share the CM post for 2.5 years each, the Congress high-command has now firmly backed Sidda but DK reportedly is not leaving anything to fate now.

Karnataka Congress is facing frequent power-tussle between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar with both leaders staking claim to the top post. 

DK Shivakumar To Replace Siddaramiah?: Karnataka Dy CM DK Shivakumar's remark came shortly after Congress troubleshooter Randeep Surjewala's visit to pacify the situation.

Home Minister G. Parameshwara is expected to travel there next week. All these leaders belong to oppressed communities and are reportedly lobbying against Deputy CM Shivakumar's dominance in the party at the behest of CM Siddaramaiah.
