The assailants had sprayed bullets on 28-year-old Moosewala in Jawahar Ke village after waylaying his vehicle. At least three weapons were used and thirty empty cases were found from the site. 

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot over 30 times by around eight to 10 attackers in broad daylight on Sunday (May 29). As per latest reports, the killing was witnessed by his father.   

Moosewala, 27, had fought on the Congress ticket from Mansa assembly seat in the recent assembly election and was defeated by AAP's Vijay Singla. Leaders of Congress and other political parties expressed shock and anger over his killing.

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead by gangsters in broad daylight in Punjab's Mansa district on Sunday, was widely known for his 'gangster rap'. His stardom was often overtaken by the controversies surrounding him for promoting drugs and violence through his songs.

Sidhu Moosewala, Congress leader and Punjabi singer, was shot dead at Mansa district today. Two other people were injured in the firing. Bullets from three AK- 94 rifles found at crime spot. 

In 2018, Sidhu Moosewala released his first music album PBX 1. He followed it up with Snitches Get Stitches in 2020 and Moosetape in 2021.

Sidhu Moosewala was on the wheel in Mahindra Thar SUV when the assailants, believed to be 10-12, fired more than 20 rounds at point-blank range at the singer and his two friends, who got grievous injuries. 

Leaders of the Congress and other political leaders expressed shock and anger over the killing of Moosewala and attacked the AAP government for withdrawing his security cover.
