The Sikh community in Union City, California is protesting against an unidentified man desecrating the Guru Granth Sahib.

People's Party of Punjab (PPP) president Manpreet Singh Badal on Friday rejected the setting up of a Judicial Commission headed by Justice (retd) Zora Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court over alleged sacrilege of Sikh holy book in Faridkot district and its aftermath.

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday directed police to withdraw all cases registered against people protesting against the sacrilege of the Sikh holy book, Guru Granth Sahib, during the last one week.
