A Sikh law student in the UK felt 'victimised' after he was dragged out of a bar because he was wearing a turban, media reports said. Amrik Singh, 22, claimed that he was ordered to leave Rush Late Bar in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, for wearing his religious headgear, BBC reported. Singh was told that the bar had a "no headwear" policy.
Witnesses said the referee would not allow the player onto the field because he was wearing the turban in compliance with his Sikh faith.
A five-year-old Sikh boy has been denied school enrolment in Australia for wearing turban as it does not align with its uniform policy, despite a landmark ruling in 2008 against a private institution on the issue.
