As a part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to boost career opportunities for India’s youth under Skill India Mission, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) will hold the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) on December 12th, 2022, across 197 locations in 25 states and union territories.

July 15 marks the fifth anniversary of the launch of Skill India Mission. A Digital Conclave is being organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to mark the occasion. Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India.

Most human resources ( HR ) professionals feel that business schools are not doing enough to address the skills gap facing organisations, a survey said. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched MUDRA Bank (Micro Units Development Refinance Agency) in April to boost funding of small businesses which are the catalysts of employment in the country.

The company said it has started a programme 'Samarth' for this purpose and has partnered with various bodies including NIIT foundation, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, LabourNet and Udyogwardhini, among others.

Terming India as a "bright spot" among the global economies, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said the manufacturing sector is showing signs of revival aided by government's Make in India initiative.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally launch the programmes at a mega event on July 15 -- the World Youth Skills Day.
