TRAI has mandates whitelisted URLs, APKS, or OTT links for SMS Traffic.  

According to officials, the message serves as an acknowledgment of the total TDS deposited during the final quarter and the previous financial year.

This move empowers residents with greater control over the security of their unique identification data.

Users will be able to use their devices to send and receive SMS messages once the update is released, even in regions where cellular coverage is limited or unavailable.

"Scammers use the speed of text communication to their advantage: they hope you won't slow down and think over what's in the message," the FTC said.

A person might get an SMS that says that ICICI Bank is asking for KYC verification by directing it to a fake online banking page through a URL at the end of the SMS. This is simply a phishing attack targeted towards stealing the login ID and password and as you click on the link, it will take you to the login page of ICICI Bank.
