Interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday (July 30) was discharged on Sunday (August 2). Chairman (Board of Management), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, told ANI that Sonia Gandhi's condition at the time of discharge was stable. On Friday (July 31), hospital authorities had said that Sonia Gandhi was showing improvement in her health condition.

She has recovered from stomach infection and her condition was stable at the time of discharge. "Sonia Gandhi has undergone medical tests. She has been found to be suffering from stomach infection and is being treated for the same," Dr Rana had said on Monday.

Sonia Gandhi was on Friday rushed back to Delhi after she complained of restlessness late on Thursday night. 

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was taken ill during a roadshow in Varanasi and forced to return to the national capital on Tuesday night, was on Wednesday "stable".
