Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar had on Sunday disqualified 14 rebel MLAs - 11 from the Congress and three from the JD(S) - under the anti-defection law till the end of the current term of the House in 2023.

A total of 14 MLAs including Roshan Baig, Anand Singh, H Vishwanath, ST Somashekhar have been disqualified.

Governor Vajubhai Vala wrote a letter to CM Kumaraswamy asking him to prove majority on the floor of the House by Friday afternoon. Vala told Kumaraswamy to prove his government`s majority by 1.30 PM.
