The defence counsel told Special CBI Judge O P Saini that the probe agency had advanced some fresh points during their rebuttal arguments, so time may be granted to them to argue.
CBI Director Ranjit Sinha and other top officers of the agency have been directed by a Delhi court to furnish written explanations and file action taken reports against "erring officials" who did not follow the prescribed law in conducting searches in a corruption case.
CBI will soon move an appeal against the order of a Special Judge wherein he rejected the closure report filed by the agency against a company in coal scam case and made some adverse remarks against the agency officials probing the case.
