In a Sea-Air Coordinated Operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) rescued six Sri Lankan fishermen who were stuck in a capsized boat, stranded and adrift at the sea in rough weather for four days.

The successful rescue operation reiterates the Indian Coast Guard’s resolve towards providing Search and Rescue cover in the vast indomitable sea areas.

As part of the repatriation process, Indian Coast Guard Ship Rajkamal brought the Lankan fishermen to Karaikal port today and handed them over to Sri Lankan authorities at the IMBL.
