Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) will be merged with the country's largest lender State Bank from April 1 to ensure greater banking outreach to women.

State Bank of India's board on Thursday approved merger of three associate lenders and Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMBL) with SBI, a move which will make the state owned lender a bank of global size.
