15 state finance ministers and 30 senior officials from the states will take part in the two-day meeting, according to various media reports.
"In 2003-04, Madhya Pradesh has a debt burden of Rs 35,000 crore and now it has reached Rs 95,000 crore. By the end of this financial year it is expected to be Rs 1 lakh crore," State Finance Minister Jayant Mallaiya told reporters.
