The world witnessed a full moon on Wednesday (May 26) along with the first lunar eclipse of 2021. A full lunar eclipse coincided with a supermoon, which is when the moon is particularly close to Earth and appears brighter than normal.

The super event will be visible from India but only the penumbral phase.
On May 26, 2021, there will be a lunar eclipse that coincides with the moon's closest approach to Earth — making it a "supermoon" eclipse.
The total eclipse, or the time when the moon is in deepest shadow, will last for about 15 minutes.
The westernmost locations to see the eclipse are India, Sri Lanka, western China and Mongolia.
