The famous International Crafts Fair, which helps thousands of craftsperson from across India to showcase their arts and products to a wider audience, was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Surajkund International Crafts Mela was earlier scheduled to take place from 4th to 20th February but due to rising covid cases, the Haryana government decided to reschedule the event. According to a Haryana government notification, the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2022 has been re-scheduled from 20th March to 4th April 2022.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that the state government is considering to organise the Surajkund International Crafts Mela twice in a year.
A splash of colours, rhythm of drum beats and joie de-vivre are all set to merge here as the curtains go up on the annual Surajkund International Crafts Mela on Wednesday.
