Sushil Kumar, the first winner of five crore rupees in Kaun Banega Crorepati, makes headlines again by clearing Bihar Public Service Commission’s teacher recruitment exam. 

Sushil Kumar hogged the limelight when he became the first Rs 5 crore winner of Amitabh Bachchan-hosted reality game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.

The plea read that his wife was suffering from severe lower back pain since long. The plea further read that her lower back pain started affecting the lower limbs as well and she was unable to walk properly without support

Sushil was arrested from Mundka region in Delhi last year in May in the same case. The arrest happened after he was absconding for more than two weeks as Delhi Police constantly chased him. 

Sushil Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 23 last year in connection with the case and is currently in Judicial Custody. 

Anshu Malik, a cadet World champion and a junior Worlds silver medallist, was the third Indian to reach the final of the World championships after 2010 champion Sushil Kumar and 2018 silver medallist Bajrang Punia.

The 38-year-old wrestler was arrested on May 23 and is lodged in jail since June 2, 2021. Kumar, along with others, allegedly assaulted former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Dhankar and his friends Following the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl, Dhankar sustained serious head injuries and later died at the hospital.

On August 3, the Delhi Police had filed a charge sheet in the murder case, in which it named the Olympic wrestler as the main accused. The police said that the brawl at the stadium was the result of a conspiracy hatched by Kumar, who wanted to re-establish his supremacy among younger wrestlers. The Delhi Police had filed an FIR against the accused for offences such as murder, attempt to murder, culpable homicide, criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, robbery, rioting among others.

Some 100 other wrestlers training at Chhatrasal also watched the game together and cheered wildly for their compatriot. Satpal said in his 52-year wrestling career as a player and a coach, he has seen thousands of bouts and hundreds of good Indian wrestlers but he did not come across something like that.

Indian wrester Ravi Kumar Dahiya put on a sensational show on Wednesday (August 4) to enter the gold medal final in the 57kg category by defeating Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev in the semifinal. Dahiya became just the second Indian wrester ever to enter the Olympics final after Sushil Kumar back in 2012 London Olympics.

Sushil Kumar and his associates allegedly assaulted 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Rana and two of his friends Sonu and Amit Kumar on the intervening night of May 4 and 5.

Chargesheet has been filed in the Sagar murder case. Sushil Kumar has been made the main accused in the 170-page charge sheet.

Taking a big action, the special cell of Delhi Police has arrested the infamous gangster Kala Jatheri. The name of Kala Jatheri also came to the fore in the case of wrestler Sushil Kumar, when Sushil had talked about the threat to his life from Kala Jatheri.
