Earlier in the day, the court of Judicial Magistrate Ravtesh Inderjit Singh issued the arrest warrant against Bagga in connection with a case registered last month.

National Commission for Minorities has sent notice to the Chief Secretary of Punjab. A reply has been sought from the Chief Secretary within 7 days. Accused of not letting the turban tie on the police.

"I was not shown any warrant. When nearly eight people picked me up, I told them to let me tie my turban. They did not give me the chance to wear the turban and slippers. I was thrown into the vehicle," Bagga said while narrating the entire episode of his arrest to ANI.
