The battle of words started when encrypted messaging app Telegram took a jibe on WhatsApp by tweeting a meme that suggested it was time to "bin" WhatsApp and Facebook. In January, Telegram shared two spiderman pointing fingers at one another fitted with Facebook and WhatsApp icons instead of an actual face, standing in front of NYPD vehicle. The company said that after giving everyone time to review the privacy policy from May 15, after several weeks, the reminder people receive will eventually become persistent.
