Recently, WhatsApp added support with which one can easily transfer chats from an iOS device to an Android device. Poking fun at WhatsApp, Telegram meant that it launched this feature way back in 2013.

Telegram already has an auto-delete timer feature which basically allows users to put a timer to all messages that are shared on its platform. From now onwards, users can set a timer for a month and the chosen message or messages will automatically delete after a month. Facebook-owned WhatsApp also comes with disappearing messages that allow users to set a timer on the messages shared.

Users have the option to pin someone`s video feed to the screen so that they stay front and center even as new participants join the call. Users can take part in group video calls on the phone, as well as on tablets and computers. Another feature is Screen Sharing that allows users to share statistics or play Pac-man simultaneously while remaining on call.

The new update also brings an auto-delete timer for messages in any chat, as well as new flexible invite links and faster access to your chats. Buyers can add a tip whenever they purchase to show some extra love to their favorite artists, stores, or delivery drivers. Voice Chats give users the option to catch up with a few friends or tune in to massive broadcasts with millions of listeners.

Admins can record the live voice chat sessions, and the audio file will be automatically saved in their `Saved Messages` window right after the session. In a live chat session where the participants are muted, listeners can alert the admins if they want to speak by raising their hands.

Telegram is launching Voice Chats 2.0, upgrading its existing Voice Chats feature to enable more connections, to more people, in almost any Telegram channel. Telegram has also come up with a feature that helps users to record audio from voice chats to save talks and publish them for followers who missed the live event. After the admins have finished recording, the audio file can be instantly found in users’ Saved Messages and it marks the chats that are being recorded with a red light.

These features include auto-delete messages for individual chats, groups and channels, expiring invite links, scannable QR codes as joining invites, home screen widgets for Android and iOS, among others. Auto-delete only applies to messages sent after the timer is set, earlier messages will stay in the chat history, Telegram said. A new form of Telegram group called Broadcast Groups has also been introduced to allow participants to connect with a live voice chat.

Telegram has been in the works to come up with a couple of features such as widgets, QR code support for group chats, and options to report content. Telegram’s beta version 7.5 comes with new features which include adding support for QR codes that can be used to invite people to group chats and channels as well. Meanwhile, another feature in testing is for group chat admins to set a custom timer for messages to auto-delete.

Share and store unlimited files of any type, now up to 2 GB each. Set a Profile Video instead of a static picture. Any photo or video you take with the front-facing camera now has a soften skin option in the media editor.

Telegram messenger has also provided a new Cache memory management tool directly to clean-up the storage as per the user requirement.
