BJP leaders in Maharashtra are protesting against the Shiv Sena-led government for not granting permission to reopen temples in the state after the coronavirus lockdown. Besides Mumbai, the protest is being staged at Nagpur, Shirdi, Kolhapur.
The Samana article further said that the opposition should re-think about the ongoing situation in Maharashtra before making such statements.
Local party leaders urged the state government to reopen places of worship as local transport and malls have been allowed to function.
BJP MLAs, legislators, corporators and office-bearers led the protests in all cities of Thane and Palghar districts.
