Since Threads was launched, a web version has frustratingly been missing. Meta's Twitter (now X) rival Threads has been in steady decline after peaking at around 50,000 daily active users globally on Android devices in early July and now stands at around 10 million.

Recent information revealed that Threads has gained the largest user presence in specific markets, with India leading the way, accounting for approximately 32 per cent of its downloads. Following India is Brazil, contributing to approximately 22 per cent of Threads' installations, and the US, representing nearly 16 per cent of the total.

Searching "url:threads.net" on Twitter returns zero results, despite there being a lot of tweets linking to the domain. Similarly, searching for "threads.net" without the "url:" operator returns dozens of irrelevant results from users with their Threads account in their display name, or who discuss Threads without linking to it, the report said. 

Responding to users queries, Mosseri mentioned plans to enable account switching and mentioned discussions about introducing a 'Reactions' button According to him, the 'Reaction' button would add "a fair amount of complexity to every post everywhere, and I like the idea of keeping things simple."

Other Google accounts that have joined Threads are Google for Developers (@googlefordevs), Google Workspace (@googleworkspace) and Google DeepMind (@deepmind).

Interestingly, amidst these discussions, Zuckerberg and Musk have been challenging each other to a cage fight, possibly to be held in the historic Colosseum, the ancient Greek amphitheater. The ongoing rivalry and critiques between these tech giants have added to the intrigue surrounding their respective platforms.
