The one of a kind song 'Tinka Tinka Tihar' sung by the inmates of Tihar Jail was recently released by Smt Sumitra Mahajan, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha in 2015. The song is special as it is shot inside the Tihar jail premises. It has been conceptualised, scripted and executed by Vartika Nanda, a prison reformer.

Seventeen convicts have been released while the punishment of another 1,414, lodged in Tihar and Rohini jails has been reduced by the Delhi government, a senior prison official said on Friday.
Two inmates were killed and over a dozen undertrials and Tihar jail staff suffered critical injuries in a gang war inside the high-security prison on Wednesday, police said.
