The Tis Hazari court brawl between advocates and Delhi Police personnel took a new turn after Delhi lawyers on Friday decided to suspend their strike for ten days. 

Lawyers coordination committee Chairman Advocate Mahavir Sharma said, "We refused to talk as from the side of the police only Joint CP Rajesh Khurana was present in the meeting." Two special cops, DCP and Joint CP were supposed to attend the meeting.

Protesting Delhi Police personnel on Tuesday booed and jeered a top officer as he sought to placate them during their agitation against the assault on some of their colleagues by lawyers at Tis Hazari and Saket court complex.

Hundreds of Delhi Police personnel on Tuesday gheraoed the Police Headquarters (PHQ) at ITO here to protest against repeated incidents of violence against them by lawyers. Demanding to meet the Delhi Police Commissioner and that action be taken against the lawyers who raised hands on policemen on duty during a clash at Tis Hazari court on November 2. 

Hundreds of police personnel, seen in uniform and wearing a black band to condemn the attacks on their rank by a group of lawyers, gathered at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) to hold a 'silent' protest.

The violent clash erupted on Saturday after a minor argument between a lawyer and some policemen over parking space inside the court's building. 

The judicial work in the national capital on Thursday was paralysed as the city lawyers went on strike to "safeguard the dignity" of the legal profession.
