Blistering heat persisted in Odisha on Tuesday with Titlagarh regaining its position as the hottest place in the state at 43 degree celsius.
At least 13 places in the state recorded temperature above 40 degrees Celsius.
Thakur was first taken to Kesinga health centre and later shifted to Bhawanipatana for treatment.
The Odisha government has confirmed four deaths due to sun stroke; however, reports said the death toll in the state due to heatwave has risen to 88.
