As Indian Railways resumed ticket booking on Monday (May 11, 2020) it sold tickets worth ₹10 crore to 54,000 passengers within hours of opening the portal. The Indian railway has allotted 30 special trains as it resumes operation after almost two months due to the coronavirus scare.
It would be compulsory to furnish Aadhar Card details for both reserved and unreserved ticket booking for both online as well as counter tickets reservation.
Starting September 1, you will be able to avail insurance cover of up to Rs 10 lakh while booking a train ticket online by paying less than one rupee.
