While two-wheelers are limited to a maximum of two litres (maximum value of Rs 200), four-wheelers are limited to 5 litres (maximum value of Rs 500) of fuel per transaction, a press release from the Department of Public Relations, Chandigarh Administration read.

The truckers' move is likely to disrupt the supplies of commodities and it could lead to a spike in prices of essential goods.
Stating that exorbitant rise in diesel prices and daily changes in rates have hit the sector, AIMTC said the government should revise the prices of diesel on quarterly basis.
"Lorries are not going to southern states from other parts of the country. Trucks which have national permit have been diverted," AIMTC President S.K. Mittal told IANS over phone.
A committee headed by Transport Secretary Vijay Chhibber has been formed, in which truckers will also have representatives, to look into their demands and a report will be submitted by December 15.
While supply of essential commodities like milk, vegetables and medicines have been kept out of the purview of the strike, its impact was seen in various parts of the country, including Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, among other places.
