Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay expressed happiness on being in India to attend the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Modi.

Bhutan's PM Tshering Tobgay is in India on an official visit, which is his first overseas visit after assuming office in February 2024.

This is the first overseas visit of the Bhutanese PM who assumed office in January 2024. He was received at the airport by Union Minister of State for Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ashwini Choubey.

Bhutan is keen to set up a consulate in Guwahati, its Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay said on Friday.
