Users complained about the outage and they were quite frustrated for some time.
Acknowledging the error, Twitter said that they have managed to correct the fault.
Twitter was already down for a while on August 27.
As per the Downdetector, the services are down and complaints started coming in from 1.15 pm.
Almost around 52 percent of users reported to be facing issues logging in to their accounts.
Twitter outage has further been reported in several countries which includes US, UK, Australia and Japan.
More than 40,000 users seem to have reported issues with the social media platform on Friday, according to outage monitoring website Downdetector.com.
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from a series of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.
At least 10,000 users around the world reported that they could not access the social network
Twitter has been undergoing some problems since 2:46 p.m. EDT and more users were alerted with a message saying "something is technically wrong" when they tried to log on.
