A day after former liquor baron Vijay Mallya made a rare public appearance in England at an F1 race, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday reiterated that they will bring back the embattled business tycoon back to the nation at the earliest and proceedings will be made against him as per law.
Attempting to shift the blame on the Congress over the Vijay Mallya episode, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Monday said the liquor baron received all bank loans when the UPA regime was in power at the Centre.
The Congress party is set to raise in Parliament the issue of business tycoon Vijay Mallya, who has refused to return to India, saying that he is not an absconder but a businessman of international stature.
Hitting out at the BJP-led NDA government, the Shiv Sena on Friday dubbed liquor baron Vijay Mallya as an 'economic terrorist', who fled due to the Centre's feeble policies.
