Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for blaming `Gau Rakshaks` (cow protectors) for outrageous incidents like the flogging of four Dalits in Gujarat last month, Congress` UP chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit on Sunday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worships cows, but do not bother protecting them.

The Janata Dal (United) on Sunday said the damage control effort of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in regard to the Dalit atrocities is half-hearted, adding that he was doing that with political electoral considerations in mind.

Ahead of his visit to Una to meet Dalits who were thrashed brutally for skinning a dead cow, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday exhorted all community members to unite in the fight against Gujarat BJP's oppressive regime.
