This is the second conviction of Sengar in the matter related to Unnao rape case. In Dec 2019, he was convicted and jailed for life for raping the girl in 2017 when she was a minor.
On March 10, the minor girl was allegedly raped in Bihar police station limits and was found in an unconscious state by locals.
The rape survivor`s father died on April 9, 2018 in police custody. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had on July 13, 2018, filed a chargesheet in the matter, in which it named Sengar and others.
Sengar, a four-term MLA, was expelled by the BJP in August 2019 following furore after his name cropped up in a rape case.
On December 20 2019, Sengar was awarded life imprisonment by the Tis Hazari Court for raping and abducting a minor girl in Unnao.
The chargesheet is based on the woman`s dying declaration and the statements of witnesses. The incident took place under the Bihar police circle on the morning of December 5 when the victim was on her way to Rae Bareli for a court hearing.
Delhi's Tis Hazari Court has sentenced BJP expelled MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar with life imprisonment. The court has also ordered ex-BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar to pay a compensation of Rs. 25 lakhs to the victim.

Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar on Friday was awarded life imprisonment for raping and abducting a minor girl in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. The politician was sentenced by a Delhi court in the case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sought maximum punishment for Sengar, besides demanding adequate compensation for the rape survivor.
Expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was found guilty by Delhi's Tis Hazari court of raping a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh`s Unnao district two years ago.
During the hearing today, the court asked the advocate representing Sengar to produce nomination papers submitted with Election Commission during the 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Sengar had raped the girl at his residence in Unnao in June 2017, where she had gone seeking a job. The four-time BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh`s Bangarmau was arrested last year and is currently lodged in Tihar jail.

A hand-written pamphlet, with the message bearing that she will meet the same fate as that of the Unnao rape victim if she dares to give her statement, was pasted outside the survivor's house.
