Centre has told the SC that it is not in favour of allowing an extra attempt for UPSC preliminary examination
The submission in this regard was made by Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing on behalf of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), before the apex court bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar.

Over 15,000 people have qualified in this year's civil services preliminary examination, results of which were declared on Monday by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
