The Uttar Pradesh government announced that the COVID-imposed curfew is being lifted from all districts, including Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad. The night curfew and weekend curfew will continue to remain, the state government said.

The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order for all schools and colleges in the state to commence online classes for students from May 20 onwards. However, online classes will not resume for students of primary classes.

Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday decided to extend the partial corona curfew in the state till May 24. The decision was taken a day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a virtual meeting with top officials.

UP government announced that all the schools, coaching institutes and other educational institutions in the state will remain closed till May 20. All classes and academic activities shall remain suspended, even in online mode, in wake of deadly COVID-19.

Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday decided to extend the partial corona curfew in the state till May 17. Earlier, the UP authorities had imposed a partial curfew in the state on April 29.

The e-pass will be valid for one day for travel within the district, and two days for inter-district movement. The curfew period will be extended till 7 am on May 6. Uttar Pradesh recorded 25,858 new daily cases and 352 fatalities on Tuesday, as per official government data.
