Notably, Sourabh is currently the lone Indian survivor in the tournament after Siril Verma and Subhankar Dey lost their respective pre-quarterfinal and second round clashes.
Bopanna and Cuevas were down 7-9 in the deciding super tie-breaker but saved both the match points to win the title.
Continuing with his sparkling show, Saketh Myneni clinched the Vietnam Open trophy, his first singles Challenger title of the season with a straight set win over Australia's Jordan Thompson.
Saketh Myneni remained on course for his second successive final on the ATP Challenger Tour after eking out a hard-fought win over Japan's Yasutaka Uchiyama in the Vietnam Open.
A series of injuries might have derailed his plans but a fit-again RMV Gurusaidutt is putting in the hard yards to earn his place at the top and is aiming to regain his position in the world top-25 by year end.
