Normal services on Delhi Metro`s Violet Line were briefly affected due to a technical snag between Mandi House and Kashmere Gate stations. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that trains were running at a restricted speed between the affected section.

A total of 40 trains will be operational on the entire Kashmere Gate-Raja Nahar Singh corridor.

After its inauguration, passenger services on the section will commence at 5 PM on the same day.

The Delhi Metro now boasts of 164 stations in total, spread across a radius of 218km. The new gate have been installed in two stations.
