The government has prohibited its employees from using third-party VPN services such as ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and others. This comes after firms such as ExpressVPN, Surfshark, and NordVPN indicated that they would be pulling their servers out of India. Employees are also advised not to "root" or "jailbreak" their handsets.

ExpressVPN is shutting down all India-based VPN servers as a result of the central government's recent guidelines. ExpressVPN's VPN servers will no longer be available as a result of the update to the Indian users. Users will still be able to connect to VPN servers that will provide them with Indian IP addresses.
