The government has initiated an "intense campaign" to free Waqf properties grabbed by "Waqf mafia" in several states, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Tuesday.
Waqf properties are meant to be used for religious purposes only.
