WFI Election: The election for the post of President of Wrestling Federation of India was to be held on August 12. Chandigarh High Court has banned this on Friday.

The date for the election of Kushti Sang has been announced. Wrestling Federation will be elected on coming 6th July. In which people will be elected from the post of WFI president to executive posts. The final list of candidates will be released on July 2 and voting will be done on July 6.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has assured that the ongoing probe by Delhi Police against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will be completed before June 15.

Anurag Thakur said that the government has accepted every demand of the wrestlers. He said WFI will also have an internal complaints committee, headed by a woman.
