WhatsApp Banned Accounts In India: Earlier, WhatsApp has banned almost 10 million accounts in India during January 2025 as part of its ongoing efforts to combat spam, scams, and other forms of misuse on the platform.  

WhatsApp New Feature: With the new WhatsApp feature, users can quickly capture a document using their device’s camera, eliminating the need for third-party scanning tools or apps. 

Whatsapp Stop Working On iPhone: Users with newer iPhones or those who have already updated to iOS 15.1 or later will not be affected. 

WhatsApp Call Record: WhatsApp is a popular instant messaging app used by nearly 99% of mobile users today. Meta-owned platform has bridged the gap between people, allowing you to stay connected with loved ones, even if they are miles away. Recording WhatsApp calls isn't directly supported by the app. Also, there is no official feature within WhatsApp for recording calls.  WhatsApp does not offer an in-built call recording option, but calls can still be recorded using third-party apps Which includes Cube ACR, Salestrail and ACR Call Recorder.    

Whatsapp Chat Lock Feature: This feature not only enables custom passwords but also allows users to rename locked chats, concealing them from the app’s main view

WhatsApp Accounts Ban In India: WhatsApp blocked 8,458,000 Indian accounts, of which 1,661,000 were proactively banned from August 1 to August 31.  

WhatsApp New Feature: With this new 'tagging' feature, users can mention up to five individuals in each status and can privately tag someone without displaying their names

People may hide their WhatsApp profile picture (DP) for several reasons. These reasons include privacy concerns where you may not want certain people, like work colleagues or distant acquaintances, to see your photos. 

WhatsApp users will be able to send videos, photos, documents, and other media directly to nearby devices using an end-to-end encrypted connection on the platform, eliminating the need for an active internet connection. 

WhatsApp New Feature: The newly launched feature functions as an additional Chat Filter, which hides all conversations except those added as a favourite.

WhatsApp's much-anticipated feature will instantly translate messages during conversations, ensuring a smooth communication flow and making it easier for users to understand and respond in real-time.

WhatsApp users can also manage who can add them to groups to enhance their privacy by adjusting their WhatsApp Settings. Users will have with three choices: Everyone, My Contacts, or My Contacts Except. 

The Ministry of Communications has warned mobile users that cybercriminals attempt to perpetrate cybercrimes/financial fraud or steal personal information through such calls. 

Downdetector, a website monitoring service, recorded a surge in reports of WhatsApp and Instagram having problems during this time.

The most popular messaging platform, which has over 500 million users in the country, received another record 16,366 complaint reports in December in the country.

Between November 1 and November 31, 3,716,000 WhatsApp accounts were banned and 990,000 of these accounts were proactively banned before any reports from users, said the company.

Over 2 mn people use WhatsApp internationally. Data of about 500 mn users have been stolen. The hacker collected data from 84 different nations.
